राष्ट्रीय देवभूमि पार्टी ने प्रदेश सरकार और 68 विधायकों के खिलाफ मोर्चा खोलते हुए विजयदशमी के मौके पर उनके सामूहिक पुतले जलाने का कार्यक्रम रखा था। हालांकि, पहले से तैनात भारी पुलिस बल ने कार्यकर्ताओं से पुतले को छीन लिया और कार्यक्रम को सफल नहीं होने दिया।
कार्यकर्ताओं ने कुनिहार के पुराने बस स्टैंड पर इकट्ठा होकर प्रदेश के भाजपा और कांग्रेस सहित सभी 68 विधायकों के खिलाफ जमकर नारेबाजी की। जैसे ही उन्होंने पुतला फूंकने का प्रयास किया, पुलिस ने तुरंत हस्तक्षेप किया और पुतले को सुरक्षित कब्जे में ले लिया। पुतला छीनने को लेकर पुलिस और कार्यकर्ताओं के बीच काफी देर तक छीना-झपटी और जोर आजमाईश भी देखने को मिली।
राष्ट्रीय देवभूमि पार्टी के कार्यकर्ता रूमित सिंह ठाकुर ने कहा कि भाजपा और कांग्रेस दोनों पार्टियों ने केवल प्रदेश को लूटने का काम किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि 2027 के चुनाव में जनता इन्हें सबक सिखाएगी और राष्ट्रीय देवभूमि पार्टी एक विकल्प के रूप में सामने आएगी।
कार्यक्रम भले ही विफल रहा हो, लेकिन कार्यकर्ताओं ने प्रदेश के विधायकों के खिलाफ अपनी भड़ास पूरी तरह निकाल दी और जनता के सामने अपनी नाराजगी जाहिर की।
