राजस्व मंत्री जगत सिंह नेगी ने आज यहां आपदा प्रबंधन और पुनर्वास पर गठित मंत्रिमण्डलीय उप-समिति की बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। बैठक में हाल ही में प्रदेश में बादल फटने और बाढ़ की घटनाओं के दृष्टिगत राहत एवं पुनर्वास कार्यों की समीक्षा की। बैठक में प्रभावित क्षेत्रों में अवरूद्ध सड़कों की बहाली, पुलों के पुनर्निर्माण और जलापूर्ति योजनाओं की मरम्मत जैसे आवश्यक बुनियादी ढांचे को दुरुस्त करने पर भी विचार-विमर्श किया।
मंत्रिमण्डलीय उप-समिति ने आपदा प्रबंधन के लिए अर्ली वार्निंग सिस्टम (पूर्व चेतावनी तंत्र) स्थापित करने को स्वीकृति दी। इस प्रणाली के माध्यम से समय-समय पर मौसम की निगरानी, पूर्वानुमान और चेतावनी आदि की सुविधा सुनिश्चित होगी। इसके सुचारू संचालन से समय रहते सावधानी बरतने से आपदा के प्रभाव को कम कर, जान-माल के नुकसान में कमी आएगी।
उप-समिति ने आपदा के समय राहत एवं बचाव कार्य में तेजी लाने के लिए हेलीकॉप्टर किराए पर लेने का भी निर्णय लिया ताकि राहत कार्यों में सहायता मिल सके।
जगत सिंह नेगी की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित एक अन्य बैठक में मंत्रिमण्डलीय उप-समिति ने छोटे और सीमांत किसानों के लिए भूमि नियमितीकरण से जुड़े मामलों पर भी चर्चा की। उप-समिति ने हिमाचल प्रदेश को एफसीए (वन संरक्षण अधिनियम) में रियायत दिलवाने के लिए उच्चतम न्यायालय में अपील करने का मंजूरी दी।
ग्रामीण विकास एवं पंचायती राज मंत्री अनिरुद्ध सिंह, नगर एवं ग्राम नियोजन मंत्री राजेश धर्माणी, अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव (राजस्व) कमलेश कुमार पंत, विशेष सचिव (राजस्व-आपदा) डी.सी.राणा और अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी इस अवसर पर उपस्थित थे।
