मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर ने शनिवार को दिल्ली में प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी से भेंट कर उन्हें राज्य सरकार द्वारा अपनाए जा रहे कोविड प्रोटोकाॅल और टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम के बारे में अवगत करवाया। उन्होंने प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा कोरोना की दूसरी लहर से सफलतापूर्वक निपटने संबंधी जानकारी देते हुए संभावित तीसरी लहर से निपटने के प्रबंधों के बारे में जानकारी दी। प्रधानमंत्री ने टीकाकरण कार्यक्रम को तेजी से निष्पादित करने के लिए मुख्यमंत्री को बधाई दी। जय राम ठाकुर ने प्रधानमंत्री से राज्य को बल्क ड्रग एवं मेडिकल डिवाइसेज पार्क स्वीकृत करने का आग्रह किया, जिससे प्रदेश में न केवल औद्योगिक गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा मिलेगा बल्कि रोजगार सृजन भी होगा। उन्होने प्रदेश में हवाई संपर्क सदृढ़ करने के लिए मंडी जिला के नागचला में प्रस्तावित हवाई अड्डे के निर्माण के लिए धनराशि उपलब्ध करवाने की मांग की। उन्होने इस अवसर पर प्रदेश में सड़क नेटवर्क सुदृढ़ करने के बारे में भी चर्चा की। उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री से पर्यटन अधोसंरचना विकास परियोजना के अन्तर्गत केन्द्र सरकार को भेजे गए वित्त पोषण दस्तावेज को स्वीकृत करने का आग्रह किया। मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रधानमंत्री से 111 मेगावाट क्षमता की सावड़ा-कुड्डू जलविद्युत परियोजना का उद्घाटन करने तथा सतलुज जलविद्युत निगम द्वारा निर्मित 210 मेगावाट लुहरी स्टेज-1 तथा 66 मेगावाट धौलासिद्ध परियोजनाओं के शिलान्यास करने का भी आग्रह किया। उन्होने प्रदेश में सूचना प्रौद्योेगिकी और संयोजकता को सुदृढ़ करने के बारे में भी चर्चा की। प्रधानमंत्री ने प्रदेश के विकास के लिए हर संभव मदद का आश्वासन दिया। इस अवसर पर प्रधान आवासीय आयुक्त सुशील कुमार सिंगला, उप आवासीय आयुक्त पंकज शर्मा भी उपस्थित रहे।
