हमीरपुर विधानसभा क्षेत्र के दड़योटा गांव की रहने वाली गुंजन पुत्री अरुण कुमार ने भारतीय सेना में लेफ्टिनेंट बनकर एक नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित किया है। गुंजन की इस उपलब्धि पर हमीरपुर के विधायक आशीष शर्मा ने सोमवार को अपनी धर्मपत्नी सहित उनके निवास स्थान पर जाकर उन्हें सम्मानित किया। विधायक आशीष शर्मा ने कहा, यह गौरव के क्षण हैं कि वीर भूमि हमीरपुर से महिला लेफ्टिनेंट बनकर निकली गुंजन अब देश सीमा की प्रहरी बनकर देश की रक्षा करेगी एवं हमीरपुर का नाम ऊंचा करेगी। आज बेटियां बेटों के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर देश के विकास में अपनी भागीदारी सुनिश्चित कर रही हैं।
गुंजन की इस उपलब्धि से न केवल हमीरपुर का नाम ऊंचा हुआ है, बल्कि यह भी साबित हुआ है कि महिलाएं भी पुरुषों के साथ कंधे से कंधा मिलाकर देश की सेवा में अपना योगदान दे सकती हैं। गुंजन की कहानी अन्य युवतियों के लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत बन गई है। आशीष शर्मा ने गुंजन को आगामी खुशहाल भविष्य के लिए शुभकामनाएं दीं और कहा कि गुंजन की इस उपलब्धि से हमीरपुर ही नहीं, बल्कि पूरे प्रदेश का गौरव बढ़ा है। उन्होंने कहा कि गुंजन की कहानी अन्य युवतियों को भी सेना में शामिल होने के लिए प्रेरित करेगी और वे भी देश की सेवा में अपना योगदान देंगी। इस मौके पर स्थानीय बूथ कमेटी सदस्य और अन्य ग्रामीण मौजूद रहे।
