कांगड़ा के गुप्त गंगा क्षेत्र में बुधवार दोपहर एक ढाबे में गैस सिलेंडर लीक होने से अचानक आग लग गई। करीब 1:30 बजे लगी इस आग से इलाके में हड़कंप मच गया। ढाबा मालिक संजू ने जैसे ही लपटें देखीं, तुरंत शोर मचाया। मौके पर पहुंचे स्थानीय लोगों ने आग बुझाने का प्रयास शुरू किया और तुरंत दमकल विभाग को सूचना दी।
सूचना मिलते ही कांगड़ा दमकल विभाग की टीम महज पांच मिनट में मौके पर पहुंची। दमकलकर्मियों ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए आग पर काबू पा लिया और एक बड़ी दुर्घटना टल गई। अधिकारियों के अनुसार, आग का मुख्य कारण ढाबे में रखा गैस सिलेंडर लीक होना था।
इस हादसे में किसी तरह की जनहानि नहीं हुई है। हालांकि, ढाबा मालिक को करीब 15,000 रुपये का नुकसान उठाना पड़ा है। लेकिन दमकल विभाग की तत्परता से लगभग 5 लाख रुपये की संपत्ति जलने से सुरक्षित बच गई।
स्थानीय लोगों ने दमकल विभाग की तेजी की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि यदि समय रहते टीम मौके पर न पहुंचती, तो नुकसान कहीं अधिक हो सकता था। विभाग के इंचार्ज अनिल कुमार ने बताया कि टीम की त्वरित कार्रवाई से न केवल आग पर काबू पाया गया बल्कि आसपास की दुकानें और संपत्ति भी सुरक्षित रहीं।
यह घटना एक बार फिर याद दिलाती है कि गैस सिलेंडर और अन्य ज्वलनशील सामग्रियों का सही रख-रखाव कितना जरूरी है।
